Usage

1. Introduction

This document provides a brief overview of the usage of CocoBot. It is intended for users who are new to CocoBot and want to get started with it. It provides a step-by-step guide to help you get started with CocoBot and use it effectively.

2. Prerequisites

If you haven't installed CocoBot yet, you need to install it before you can use it. You can find the installation instructions in the Installation document.

3. Getting Started

Before you start using CocoBot, make sure you have installed it correctly and have all the necessary dependencies installed. You will also need to set your AssemblyAI API key in the config.json file. You can get an API key by signing up on the AssemblyAI website. If you don't have an API key, you won't be able to use the transcription feature of CocoBot.

To get started with CocoBot, follow these steps:

  1. Open a terminal or command prompt.

  2. Run the following command to start CocoBot:

    python src/main.py
  3. CocoBot will start and display a welcome message.

  4. Now you can execute different commands to interact with CocoBot and perform various tasks.

    • Download video from YouTube and export it in Shorts format.

      1. Enter the url of the video you want to download.

      2. CocoBot will download the video and save it to your computer. This may take some time depending on the size of the video and your internet connection speed.

      3. Once the download is complete, CocoBot will display a message indicating that the video has been downloaded successfully.

      4. CocoBot will split the video into multiple parts and export it in Shorts format.

      5. The exported parts will be saved to your computer in the specified location.

      6. You can now use the exported parts to create a Shorts video on YouTube.

    • See the downloaded video

      1. Display the downloaded video on your computer.

      2. Select the video file you want to view.

      3. CocoBot will display all the information about the video.

    • Upload video to YouTube

      1. Enter the video, description, and tags for the video you want to upload.

      2. CocoBot will upload the video to YouTube and display a message indicating that the video has been uploaded successfully.

      3. You can now view the uploaded video on YouTube.

    • Download video from Local File and export it in Shorts format.

      1. Enter the path of the video file you want to download.

      2. CocoBot will download the video and save it to your computer. This may take some time depending on the size of the video and your internet connection speed.

      3. Once the download is complete, CocoBot will display a message indicating that the video has been downloaded successfully.

      4. CocoBot will split the video into multiple parts and export it in Shorts format.

      5. The exported parts will be saved to your computer in the specified location.

      6. You can now use the exported parts to create a Shorts video on YouTube.

    • Exit

      1. Exit CocoBot.
